AIFS Gap Year Programs: Paris, France: CCFS (Semester/Year)

AIFS

Paris is one of the world’s great capitals of culture. Known throughout the world for its museums and historical monuments, the city has a laid back vibe and is easy to get around. It's a great city for students to explore with top restaurants and great names in fashion among vintage stores, cafés and take-away crêpes stalls. Prior to spring and fall semesters, an optional early start Intensive French Language and Culture Program in Cannes is available. Students earn 2 credits and acclimate to France in the sunny Mediterranean city of Cannes, with all levels of French available from beginner through superior. Once in Paris, students begin their chosen course of study at Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne (CCFS) following an orientation workshop. Additionally, AIFS students may take art at the Académie de Port Royal or music courses through the Schola Cantorum. Volunteer opportunities are also available. Depending on the term, excursions and travel options may include a trip to the Château of Versailles; an excursion to the Champagne region; a Bateaux-Mouches boat trip along the Seine; a trip to the Châteaux de la Loire; a tour of London, England; and a trip to tour Normandy and Brittany. Visit the AIFS website for term-specific details. AIFS is a premier provider of study abroad programs. Comprehensive fees cover tuition and housing, with scholarship funding available. A meal plan, tours and excursions, insurance and 24-hour emergency service are also included. Convenient AIFS Flight Packages with major airlines are also available. More than $800,000 is available each year.
