Psychology & Research in Madrid

This program is geared toward Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) psychology majors and minors. During the six-week summer program, you will choose two courses from the following list: Introduction to Biological Psychology, Cross-Cultural Psychology, Psychology in the Workplace and Research Laboratory in Psychology. Both courses that you choose will fulfill psychology BA/BS requirements. During the semester program, you will register for courses covering subjects such as psychology, art history, business, communications and media, culture, ecology, finance, marketing, neuroscience, and more, for a total of 13 to 18 credits. Available psychology courses fulfill psychology BA/BS requirements. Both the summer and semester programs will allow you to gain an international perspective on psychology and hands-on research experience.

This program is offered in partnership with the prestigious Fundación Ortega–Marañon in Madrid and the University of Minnesota's Department of Psychology. The Fundación is located in the central part of Madrid, near Paseo de la Castellana. Due to its location, it is easy to catch public transportation to any other part of the city. 
Most financial aid may be applied to study abroad. Note that May and Summer Session students must enroll in at least 6 credits to maintain minimal eligibility for financial aid. University of Minnesota students are eligible for more than $800,000 in study abroad scholarships.
